Try this delicious cake recipe:

Cream butter with 2/3 of the sugar. gradually add the egg yolks, then stir in the remaining ingredients. Whip the egg whites until stiff, then add the remaining sugar while continuing to whisk. Stir one third of the egg whites into the mixture, then gently stir in the rest.

Grease a cake springform pan (28 cm ø) and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour the batter into it and spread the well-drained cherries evenly on top.

Bake the cake in the heated oven at 180 °C on the lowest shelf for 60-70 minutes.

Serve with whipped cream.
