Instructions:

To make the super steak sandwich, use a sharp, serrated knife to cut off the top of the loaf. Then, using a smaller knife and a spoon, hollow out the loaf. Finally, the bread wall should still be about 1 cm thick.

Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear steak on both sides, then continue to sizzle until desired doneness. Remove from pan and season with salt and pepper.

Line the bottom of the loaf with the meat and cover completely with the cheddar cheese.

Next, wash the arugula, spin it dry and mix it with some balsamic vinegar and salt and spread it on the cheese layer.

Fry bacon in a pan without fat until crispy, let cool briefly and spread as the next layer. Cover this with thin slices of mozzarella.

Finely dice onion and sauté in a little oil, add minced meat and sauté until meat is cooked through. Season with salt, pepper and hot mustard. Spread the mince over the mozzarella, press down a little and finish with pickled sun-dried tomatoes.

Put the lid back on the stuffed loaf and wrap everything completely with aluminum foil. Now place in the refrigerator to chill, and it’s best to weigh it down with a couple of books to keep the sandwich pressed together well.

Unwrap the super steak sandwich from the foil after a few hours, cut into the individual portions and serve.

Preparation Tip:

The super steak sandwich can be refined with various ingredients, such as caramelized onions, or fried mushrooms.
