Steam white cabbage quarters in hot fat. Add broth, creme fraiche and spices, steam for about 25 minutes. Roast bacon strips until crispy. Remove cabbage quarters, keep warm. Bring stock to a boil, thicken and season. Add bacon to white cabbage, offer sauce for it. Offer with parsley.

Serve with sausage and buttered potatoes.
