For the spelt-poppy seed loaf, put the whole spelt flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Dissolve the yeast in a little water and pour it in, add salt and honey and slowly mix with the margarine starting from the center. Add water little by little. Knead the dough very vigorously until it is smooth and bubbles. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.

Place on a floured work surface and flatten with both hands. Form into a ball once more and weigh out small pieces of dough weighing 30 g. Shape into small loaves, brush surface with water and roll in poppy seeds. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake the spelt-poppy seed loafs in a preheated oven at 220°C for about 20 minutes. At the beginning of the baking time, place a container with water in the oven.

Preparation Tip:

Instead of poppy seeds, you can also use grated nuts or pistachios.
