Bring the seasoned milk to a boil. Mix in the flour and corn mixture, remove from heat and continue to stir heartily so that no lumps form. Add butter, diced potatoes, bacon and raisins.

Butter an ovenproof dish and spread the mixture evenly in it, no higher than four inches.

Bake in a medium-hot oven for about an hour. Serve with apple slices stewed in butter or mixed lettuce.
