A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Mix the fat and sugar until thick and add the eggs, salt and sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Mix flour with baking powder and gently mix in. Pour batter into lightly greased and parchment paper lined pan and bake at 180 degrees for half an hour.

Remove cake from pan, peel off paper, poke many small holes with toothpick. For the icing, mix orange juice and juice of one lemon with powdered sugar and pour over cake by spoonfuls.

This cake tastes best when it has been aged for a few days and then properly set.
