Instructions:

For the mirabelle plum cake, mix the ground almonds, flour, sugar and salt. Add the butter cut into pieces, crumble everything together with cold hands. Add water and knead briefly with a mixer to form a dough. Press the dough together evenly in the baking bowl and refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour.

Then roll out the dough, line a shallow cake pan with it, prick it often with a fork, and refrigerate again.

Sprinkle the almonds on the dough, place mirabelles on top.

For the glaze, mix all the ingredients with a mixer, spread over the mirabelles and bake at 200-220 degrees Celsius, on the 1st rack from the bottom (170-190° Celsius in a fan oven) for 45-50 min.

Sprinkle the mirabelle plum cake with a little powdered sugar before serving.

Preparation Tip:

Mirabelle plum cake also tastes good if you mix the fruit with plums!
