For the marbled Kaiserschmarren first separate the eggs. Mix the yolks with the vanilla sugar, milk and flour until smooth. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff, letting the sugar trickle in.

Fold in the snow and divide the dough into two bowls. Stir the cocoa powder into one half.

Heat butter in a pan and pour in both doughs at the same time and let them brown. Then turn the Kaiserschmarren and bake until done. Serve the marbled Kaiserschmarren sprinkled with powdered sugar.
