Bread rolls cut into narrow slices, pour hot milk and let stand with the lid closed.

Clean(!) the liver (or put it through a meat grinder).

Peel the onion, chop finely and sauté in butter, add parsley briefly. Mix with eggs, spices, liver and flour, finally add the bread rolls.

Form a small (test) dumpling with wet hands, cook in boiling salted water for a few minutes. If it falls apart, add a little breadcrumbs to the dough.

Shape the dumplings, put them into boiling salted water and let them steep at moderate heat for about 20 minutes.

Remove with a sieve ladle and serve as desired.
