Instructions:

For the witch hat, first prepare the 5 little horns from cardboard.

To do this, cut out 5 squares (15×15 cm) of cardboard. Roll them into a cone shape and sew them together with a pair of stitches.

Cut out two templates – one round (d=9cm) and one triangular (12x12x15 cm) – from cardboard (they will be used later for hat brims and hat covers).

Cut out hat brims and hat covers from puff pastry (use previously prepared template for this). Roll the dough around the cardboard horns and glue them together at the end.

Brush the croissants and slices with beaten egg and coat in poppy seeds. Place on a cutting board and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 170-180 degrees. Place croissants and slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, place in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Baked croissants will not have a smooth edge, so they need to be aligned with scissors.

For the filling, chop chicken breast fillet, salt, pepper and fry for about 10 minutes. Add cheese and finish frying until cheese is melted.

Transfer to a plate and let cool slightly. Add basil pesto, dill and cilantro and mix well.

Refill the croissants with chicken salad, place on top of the slices and create a hat band with long cheese slices.

Serve the witch hat as an appetizer.

Preparation Tip:

You can stuff any witch hat with any filling. Just be careful that the filling is not too thin.
