Instructions:

For the apple nut cake, beat the butter in a mixing bowl until fluffy. Slowly add the sugar, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in the eggs. Mix the nuts, flour, baking powder and sifted cocoa powder together well. Slowly stir this flour mixture into the egg mixture. Pour 1/3 of the batter into the greased pan. Spread the peeled, cored and sliced apples on the dough so that they are each about 1 cm from the edge. Leave out the stem. Pour the rest of the dough into the baking pan and spread, starting with the stem.Bake at 190°C convection oven for about 40 minutes.Halfway through the baking time, cover the stem with aluminum foil to prevent it from browning too much.Let the apple-nut cake cool for 5-10 minutes before unmolding. After complete cooling, brush the stem of the cake with white chocolate icing.
