A cake recipe for all foodies:

Dough: Separate the eggs. Beat egg yolks, sugar, butter and whipped cream until creamy. Sift the flour, knead in and leave the dough to cool for about 60 minutes. Form small rolls from the dough and fold into pretzels. Place on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.

Decoration: Brush the pretzels with egg white and sprinkle with hail sugar.

Bake in a heated oven at 180 °C for about 10-15 minutes.

Tips

* Soften butter before stirring – makes further processing easier.

* Separate egg yolks and snow cleanly. If egg yolk gets into the egg white, the snow will not set.
