Clean celery, put greens aside, cut into slices and steam in butter for 10 minutes until soft.

Remove a quarter of the celery. Add half of the clear soup to the saucepan. Mash celery with clear soup.

Add remaining clear soup and cream cheese, stirring until bubbly.

Season with pepper and salt. Serve soup with remaining slices of celery and greens.
