For the cabbage soup, chop the garlic and onion and fry in oil until translucent, add the bacon and fry. Cut the cabbage into thin strips and also fry briefly.

Then stir in the paprika powder and add water. Add salt, pepper, caraway seeds and soup seasoning and simmer until the cabbage is soft.

If necessary, season again with salt.

Preparation Tip:

The cabbage soup tastes especially hearty if you add a debreziner cut into fine slices (let it simmer for the last 5 minutes).
