For the caramel sauce, add sugar to a pan and cook over medium heat. When the sugar turns amber, add the butter.
Meanwhile, stir with a whisk until the butter has melted. Then remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cream. Let cool briefly and transfer to a bowl.
Chill the caramel sauce in the refrigerator.
