For the ham and cheese strudel, roll out the puff pastry and spread the cream cheese well on the top half. Add a little salt and pepper.
Spread the ham on the coated surface and place the cheese slices on top. Cut the bottom edge a few centimeters (it should look like fringes on the bottom edge).
Roll up the dough starting from the top edge (the rolling up ends with the fringes). Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and shape into a wreath.
