Chop the onions and garlic cloves and fry in a saucepan with a little butter, then add the chopped pumpkin flesh and fry. Pour in chicken broth, soften, blend with a hand blender and add the cream – drizzle with kernel oil before serving.
Dumplings:
Mix flour, butter, eggs, breadcrumbs, pumpkin seeds and cheese and form small dumplings – steep in boiling hot water for 20 min.
